As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, a formidable political group, the Rivers Patriotic Forum (RPF), has inaugurated campaign structures across the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State to mobilize grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Hon. Okechukwu Ogundu Kingsley Chinda.
In a statement signed by the State Coordinators, Moses Fabian Urang, Wariso Wariso, and Carl Chinedu Uchegbu, the group said Local Government Coordinators have been mandated to move into the wards in their respective LGAs to galvanize support for the in-coming Governor of the State, Hon. O.K. Chinda.
According to the statement, Hon. Chinda possesses the requisite experience to govern Rivers State, having been in public service since 1999. He has served in various political capacities both at the state and federal levels.
The group further described Rt. Hon. O.K. Chinda as a tested and trusted grassroots politician and an experienced leader who believes in justice, equity, and inclusive governance.
It noted that as a member of the House of Representatives, Chinda distinguished himself in human capital development through scholarship and training schemes from which many Rivers indigenes have benefitted.
The RPF also disclosed that arrangements are in top gear for the group to hold a “One Million Man March” to further galvanize support for Hon. O.K. Chinda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Forum urged Rivers people to rally behind the APC candidate, describing him as the leader with the capacity to unite the state and drive sustainable development.
