The paramount ruler of the ancient Evwreni kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty Oghenekevwe Kumane, Eruvwedede 3, will host traditional rulers from the Delta Central Senatorial District in August.
Delta Central Senatorial District comprises eight local government areas and is predominantly Urhobo.
The event, scheduled for August 11, 2026, at the king’s palace, will also be attended by other prominent leaders from the senatorial district.
According to an official statement by the palace secretary, the meeting will deliberate on salient issues confronting the senatorial district.
The event will feature Evwreni cultural displays to entertain the special guests and other invitees.
The secretary, on behalf of the monarch, urged Evwreni traditional chiefs, political and religious leaders, businessmen and women, and sons and daughters of the kingdom to join the royal father in giving the visiting monarchs a splendid royal welcome and a taste of royalty from the ancient Evwreni kingdom in Urhoboland.
