As insecurity continues to escalate across Nigeria, concerns over the safety of lives and property have become increasingly widespread. Communities that once enjoyed peace now live under constant fear, while many parents worry daily about the security and future of their children.
In an interview with our correspondent in Abuja, Lord Zeismer Evans Osi, the Managing Director of Rigour Edge Limited, expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in the country and called for bold measures to address the crisis.
Speaking passionately on the challenges confronting the nation, he urged the Federal Government to introduce policies requiring political appointees, elected officials, and public office holders to educate their children within Nigeria.
According to him, such a policy would encourage leaders to become more committed to improving the country’s security, education, healthcare, and other critical sectors.
“If Nigeria is good enough for the children of the common man, then it should also be good enough for the children of those in positions of power,” he stated.
Evans Osi stressed that while prayer remains important, Nigeria’s growing security and economic challenges demand practical solutions, decisive leadership, and collective responsibility.
He warned that without urgent action to tackle insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and poor governance, the nation could face greater social and economic instability in the future.
“The President must recognize that time is of the essence. The clock is ticking, and Nigerians expect practical solutions to the problems affecting their daily lives. Leadership requires action, accountability, and measurable results,” he said.
He further cautioned political leaders against underestimating the frustrations of ordinary Nigerians, many of whom continue to grapple with insecurity and economic hardship.
According to him, the government must act swiftly to restore public confidence, strengthen institutions responsible for protecting lives and property, and create opportunities that will improve citizens’ standard of living.
While acknowledging the resilience and determination of Nigerians, Evans Osi emphasized the urgent need for meaningful reforms, responsible governance, and active citizen participation in the democratic process.
His remarks have generated discussions among citizens, political analysts, and civil society organizations, many of whom agree that Nigeria’s challenges require immediate attention, strong leadership, and collective effort.
As the nation continues its search for lasting solutions to insecurity and underdevelopment, voices such as that of Evans Osi serve as a reminder that the future of Nigeria depends not only on government action but also on the shared commitment of all stakeholders to build a safer, more prosperous, and more accountable society.
