Have you ever wondered why finding the right job still feels so difficult even when you have the skills? Or why employers often say they can’t find job‑ready talent, despite thousands of applications? Fasthire CareerFest 2026 was created to answer these questions.
Organised by Fasthire Services in collaboration with the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Rivers State Chapter, CareerFest 2026 is a two‑day career development and job creation event scheduled to hold from 27th to 28th February 2026 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
About CareerFest 2026
The vision for CareerFest was conceived by Fasthire Services to tackle a growing workforce challenge: talented individuals lacking access, guidance, and visibility, while employers struggle to recruit candidates who meet today’s workplace demands.
With strong strategic support from PHCCIMA and CIPM Rivers, CareerFest 2026 reflects a shared commitment to youth empowerment, workforce development, and sustainable employment across Rivers State and beyond.
Designed as a high‑impact career ecosystem, CareerFest 2026 goes beyond the traditional job fair model. The organisers anticipate over 1,000 job opportunities, with employers actively recruiting across multiple sectors, alongside career exhibitions and professional guidance sessions to support long‑term career growth.
Event Structure
Fasthire CareerFest 2026 will run as a hybrid event, combining virtual engagement with an in‑person career experience:
● 27th February 2026: Virtual sessions and industry‑focused conversations
● 28th February 2026: Physical conference and job fair in Port Harcourt
The event is built around three core components:
1. Career & Industry Conference
Keynote sessions, panel discussions, and fireside chats featuring HR leaders, business executives, policymakers, and industry experts. These sessions will focus on employability, workplace expectations, career positioning, and future‑ready skills.
2. Job Fair & Recruitment Hub
A recruitment‑focused space where employers engage directly with job seekers through interviews, internship placements, and potential on‑the‑spot hiring opportunities.
3. Career Counselling, Mentorship & Exhibitions
One‑on‑one career guidance, mentorship sessions, and exhibitions are designed to help participants gain clarity, confidence, and direction in their career journeys.
Expectations From Employers, Businesses, and Companies at CareerFest 2026
Fasthire CareerFest 2026 is designed as a results-driven recruitment and workforce development platform, and employers are central to achieving this impact. Participating businesses and organisations are expected to engage with CareerFest as a hiring-focused talent engagement event.
Employers are encouraged to attend the event with clearly defined recruitment needs, including available roles for entry-level, mid-level, skilled, contract, or internship positions. This allows for targeted conversations, efficient screening, and meaningful recruitment outcomes during and after the event.
CareerFest also expects employers to come prepared to interact directly with job seekers, conduct interviews, assess competencies, and identify candidates who align with their organisational culture and business goals.
The Job Fair & Recruitment Hub is structured to support on-the-spot interviews and fast-tracked hiring decisions where possible.
Ultimately, CareerFest 2026 invites employers to view their participation as an investment in Rivers State’s future workforce by opening doors to employment, supporting talent development, and contributing to sustainable economic growth through deliberate hiring.
Strategic Partnerships Powering CareerFest 2026
CareerFest 2026 is strengthened by a growing network of partners committed to skills development, innovation, and employment creation. Strategic partners include PHCCIMA, CIPM Rivers, NTA, 3MTT, Xavina Consult, SMFest, Marach Consul Limited, Pastures NG, Biztraction, IgniteVA, Recruitech, Aidela Africa, Scribe Consult, and other forward‑thinking organisations.
PHCCIMA’s involvement brings strong institutional credibility, aligning with its mission to promote economic growth, support businesses, and reduce unemployment. CIPM Rivers contributes vital HR expertise, reinforcing professional standards and workforce readiness.
Impact During and After the Event
CareerFest 2026 is intentionally designed for long‑term impact. During the event, they engage in learning sessions, networking, interviews, and mentorship. After the event, participants remain connected to professional communities, mentorship networks, and job alerts, ensuring the CareerFest experience continues beyond the two‑day event.
