As part of the promises made to communities in Okoroma Clan of Nembe LGA, The Prosperity House Okoroma led by Hon. Nyenye Kuro Matthias (TA NDDC) has delivered Public Address Systems to women groups in Communities. Earlier the group had delivered clothing materials (wrappers) to women in six communities.
The pledges were made during the campaigns for the November 11th 2023 Bayelsa State Governorship Election. Hon. Nyenye Kuro Matthias said the Clan gave 85% of total votes cast to the Governor and therefore it was only right that all pledges made on behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State are also fulfilled.
The group leader further assured the Okoroma people that other pledges made are in the process of being fulfilled and called for the continuous support of the ASSURED Prosperity Government led by Senator Douye Diri.
In their separate responses, the Women Leaders representing the three communities covered in this phase, all appreciated the Prosperity Government for coming to fulfill its campaign promises.
The 3 communities represented are; Dorgu-Ewoama Community , represented by Helen Ezekiel, Deputy Women Leader, Ologoama Community, represented by Mrs Nyanate Begold Obele, and from Akakumama Community, Madam Ayebanengimote Inainko, were all unanimous in wishing the government well while promising to continue to support HE Excellency, Senator Douye Diri.
Speaking further the Women Leaders also said, it is the first time they have seen a government make campaign promises during elections and coming to fulfil those promises after the elections. They call on the Governor and government to keep it’s progressive efforts as it is transforming the State and attracting Prosperity to the different communities and clans.
Other leaders of the group present during the visit includes Hon. Jephta Olali, Chairman Okoroma/Tereke RDA, Chief Okatuaton Kombo Ape, the Prosperity House Okoroma spokesman and Hon. Ubani Godwin, Vigilante Coordinator, Nembe Constituency 1.
The Prosperity House Okoroma also used the opportunity to restate their continuous support for the Senator Douye Diri led ASSURED Prosperity Government of Bayelsa State.
They insisted that His Excellency Senator Douye Diri has shown his love and commitment to ensuring the development of Bayelsa State especially Nembe Local Government exemplified by the Nembe-Brass Road and several other major projects. And deservedly he has the total support of the group and all the communities across the clan.
