… Chief Maol Describes Council Boss as Pacesetter

The chairman of Tai Local Government Area, Hon. Mbakpone Okpe, on Friday 23, February 2024 commissioned an ultra-modern town hall for the Kira community.

The project, our reporter gathered, was initiated and executed by the council chairman, Hon. Mbakpone Okpe.

Special guest at the commissioning in Kira Tai, Chief Lesi Maol, who is managing director of Giolee Services and CEO of Satisfaction Fast Food, extolled the council chairman’s leadership qualities, noting that the project will create more jobs, promote and attract more economic opportunities, and develop the local government.

The business mogul and philanthropist described Hon. Mbakpone Okpe as a pacesetter in local government administration especially in Ogoni and Rivers State.

He said, “I have watched with great excitement the excellent performances, competence, and capability my brother, Hon. Mbakpone Okpe Friday, and his team have injected into the running and management of the affairs of Tai local government, which is transmogrified into these legacy projects.

“It is the same energy that has led to the construction of the gigantic edifices that we are inaugurating here today. I have the belief that, in a circumstance like this, a lot of commitment might have been channelled towards achieving this. I am overwhelmed with the concept the chairman used in order to drive this development.

He further alluded that since Hon. Mbakpone became chairman of the Tai local government area, there have been peace and harmonious relationships between Tai and Gokana local governments, and that is why he can conveniently invest in multimillionaire projects and investments in Tai. He also praised the chairman for being focused, dedicated, and committed to spreading development across all nooks and crannies of the local government area.
