Region-based newspaper, Port Harcourt Mundial, has joined media practitioners and organizations across the state and Deltans in general, in commending the appointment of Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza as the new state commissioner for Information.
Delta State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori last week swore in Osuoza alongside other new commissioners.
In a letter signed by the publisher of Port Harcourt Mundial, Ukandi Christopher, the medium noted that Dr. Osuoza comes to the job with “high-profile experience and achievements in media management and relations, that span years of engagement and practice in the industry.”
According to Ukandi Christopher, “Deltans and Governor Oborevwori can only expect the best from Dr. Osuoza.”
He noted that Osuoza’s contributions as the publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) “enabled his party dominate the media space, as well as effectively and efficiently communicate Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E agenda to the people of Delta State.
“Dr. Osuoza’s stint as the immediate past board chairman of the Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Warri, has continued to receive praise and commendation from staff and board of the organization, media professionals and other stakeholders.
“As he takes on higher responsibilities in a terrain he knows so well, we can only congratulate Governor Oborevwori for appointing him to the job, and also ask the commissioner to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment,” the publisher said.
