2023: Rivpro Endorses PDP’s Fubara for Governor

As activities towards the 2023 governorship election gather momentum in Rivers State, professionals in various fields in the state, on the aegis of Rivers Professionals (RivPro) have endorsed the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Siminialayi Fubara, to succeed Governor Nyesom Wike.

Speaking at an event held recently in Port Harcourt, convener of the group, Hon. Enemi Alabo George, said members of the group had looked through the credentials of all the governorship candidates so as to ascertain their capabilities, and have concluded that Siminialayi Fubara “is the most qualified among them.”

He described the PDP candidate as the best man for the job, noting that he is the only one that satisfies the senatorial as well as upland-Riverine zoning structure.

Hon Enemi Alabo George disclosed that the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party is a seasoned administrator who understands the peculiarities of various communities and burdens of the state, adding that “he has dedicated all his life and time to public service.”

He called for support for Fubara and remarked that politics is a serious business and should not be left in the hands of politicians alone.

George also encouraged his fellow professionals to engage others in various fields and community people in different localities in the state on the need to vote for PDP’s Fubara in the forth coming election

He assured that they will deploy their time and energy “to deliver Fubara to succeed Governor Nyesom Wike,” who they said have bridged the gap of infrastructure and has over time made Rivers State proud.

George further advised Rivers professionals to “keep their ears on ground to get information and pray for actualization of the candidature of Fubara as Rivers cannot make a mistake of electing anyone who is not qualified.”

Earlier, secretary of Rivpro, Barr Prince Onyekwere, who gave a brief history of the group, said they had been in existence for some time, adding that they are professionals who picked interest in holding government accountable and interrogating their activities, programs as well as giving judgement on what should be done right.

He urged all hands to be on deck in the effort of keeping government in check, as they work hard to lead the state to enviable height

Also, Barr Golden Tamuno has lent his voice in calling on Rivpro not to rest on their oars but to work hard to ensure that Siminialayi Fubara emerges the governor of the state come 2023, disclosing that a professional like Governor Wike “should have another professional like Fubara that will succeed him.

“We will jointly deliver Siminialayi Fubara, he is chosen because he can deliver” he summed up.
